Our Mission

Tourism Venise-en-Québec Lac Champlain serves as a showcase of tourist information for everyone wishing to discover Venise-en-Québec and the Lac Champlain region.

This website is an initiative of the Société d’Initiative Touristique et Économique (S.I.T.E.) du Lac Champlain, a non-profit organization independent from the Town of Venise-en-Québec.

Our mission is to develop, promote, and enhance the tourism offer of Venise-en-Québec by creating events, activities, and attractions that foster economic growth and local vitality.

We work in close collaboration with merchants, artists, producers, and regional organizations to showcase our destination year-round.

The S.I.T.E. manages the Tourist Information Office (B.A.T.) as well as several major activity hubs:

  • Galerie du Lac, a showcase for local and regional artists;

  • Partnership with the SPEC du Haut-Richelieu;

  • Le Vénisien Public Market, a gathering place for local flavors and encounters;

  • and Rendez-vous des Artisans, a major artisans’ fair.

Founded in 1998, the S.I.T.E. du Lac Champlain has spent over 25 years promoting and developing the tourism potential of Venise-en-Québec.

Our mission is built on four key pillars:

  • sustainable tourism development,

  • preservation and promotion of natural and cultural heritage,

  • creation of community-driven events,

  • and support for local economic growth.

With the dedication of our team and volunteers, the S.I.T.E. continues to make Venise-en-Québec a welcoming, festive, and vibrant destination — all year long.
